Ernest Arnold Tom Payne

Mr. Ernest Arnold Tom Payne, age 68, of Prather Bridge Road, Toccoa, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late John and Willene Fortenberry Payne, he was born April 29, 1946 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was a member of Old Union Baptist Church and attended Shiloh Baptist Church.

He is survived by two brothers and sister in law John and Johnnie Payne of Toccoa, James Payne of Kennesaw, two sisters and brother in law Ellene and Mike Carson of Carnesville and Louise Randall of Toccoa, two aunts Frances Franklin and Sally Sellars of Toccoa and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 29 at 2 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Johnny Thomas and the Reverend Brian Pulliam officiating. Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Lamar Kastner officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers James Payne, Jeff Cheek, Keith Randall, Sam Batarash and Jacob Burks.
