Harry Byron Cronan

Harry Byron Cronan born February 18, 1955 was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County peacefully passed away on November 14, 2014, after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. Harry's wish to be at home and surrounded by family and friends was fulfilled.
Harry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and took great pride in sharing family traditions with his grandsons. He was an avid craftsman and woodworker, spending many years operating a sawmill. He took great joy in creating furniture, musical instruments and restoring classic cars. Harry was a member of the Veterans Memorial Marker Crew, the Mountain Music Medicine Show (MMMS) serving as both a board member and cast member aka Barber Burns and a tribal member of Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee (GTEC).
Harry was preceded in death by his father; James Clinton Cronan and father in law Jewell Crane. He is survived by Brenda, wife of 41 years, sons: Nathan and Casey, and grandsons Ian and Kalvin Cronan all of Dawsonville. Mother Evelyn Cronan Dahlonega, Mother in law Lynette Crane, Dawsonville, brothers and sister in laws: Joe and Lori Cronan Dahlonega, Jim and Jean Cronan Dunwoody, sister Ann Cronan Herring Anderson SC, sister in law and husband Marty and Trish Howard Dahlonega. Nieces and Nephews: Anna, and Kelly Cronan and Jeremiah and Angela Laxson and Colby Howard all of Dahlonega, Sara Cronan, Dunwoody, Alex and Katie Hawkins, Matt and Crystal Herring of South Carolina.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 1 PM until 4 PM.
A Celebration of Life service for Harry will start at 4 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel.
