Robert Wren Brower

Robert Wren Brower, husband of Diane Morgan Brower, was received into heaven on November 13, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16, at Belmont Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M. The Reverend Bill Compton will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15, 5:00-8:00 P.M.


Mr. Brower was born to Claude A. Brower and Nell Joiner Brower of Tennille on October 29, 1942. He was educated in the Tennille City Schools.


Following his service with the U.S. Army in Germany, he began a law enforcement career with the Savannah Police Department. He concluded his law enforcement career in 2013 with the Hall County Sheriff's Office in Special Operations Marine Patrol.


A graduate of the Chicago Institute of Food Technology, Mr. Brower served as Food Service Director for Brenau College. He also had business interests in Gainesville Marina and in Lee Gilmer Airport.


Mr. Brower was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and of Johnnie's Hill Masonic Lodge No. 748.


Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Shon D. Brower of Tallahassee, FL; an aunt, Mrs. Stanley Brantley of Tennille; brothers-in-law Charles C. Morgan III of Abbeville, S.C., Joseph O. Morgan and wife Karen of Lincolnton, N.C., and James M. Morgan and wife Nancy of Abbeville, S.C.


Also surviving are beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
