William 'Bill' Lonie Hicks,

Mr. William "Bill" Lonie Hicks, age 77 of 36 School Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at his residence.

A son of the late Fulton and Willie Martin Hicks, he was born August 4, 1937 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was the Owner/Operator of William L. Hicks Construction Company, a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class and the Masonic Lodge #309. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Moore, by two brothers, Ray and Wade Hicks and by a grandson, Colton Hicks.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Pauline Gunn Hicks; six sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon Hicks and William Keith Hicks both of Cleveland, Georgia, Tony and Carol Hicks and Darryl and Kathy Hicks both of Eastanollee, Georgia, Dennis and Lisa Hicks and Kevin and Jenn Hicks both of Toccoa, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Linda Hicks and Morris and Janice Hicks both of Toccoa, Georgia; four sisters, Dot Reed and Ruby Williams both of Toccoa, Bobbie Green of Dacula, Georgia and Betty Ann Bevins of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2 O'clock PM at Eastanollee Baptist Church with the Reverend Ricky McFarlin and the Reverend Jewell Gaines officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Adams Hicks, Chad Hicks, Tad Hicks, Matt Hicks, Beau Morrison and Scott Goodnight.

The family will be at the home on School Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 9 PM and on Wednesday from 11 AM until 1 PM.

Interment will be in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. William "Bill" Hicks.
