Sara Barnette Smith, 75 of Murrayville, Ga passed away November 10, 2014 after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny B. Smith, Sr.; 4 children, Bill, Valerie, Bo and Sally; 4 stepchildren, Laura, Gail, Brad and Georgia; 2 brothers and a sister.
Sara was born in Winder, Ga and lived in Athens, Ga. for many years before moving to Lake Lanier upon her husband's retirement. She was educated at Winder High School and UGA. She was a member of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Sara retired from Nestle as a sales consultant. She was known throughout Northeast GA. as the "Candy Lady".
A private family memorial service will be held later.
