Ardell Carter Fowler

Ardell Carter Fowler, age 88, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away at The Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

Mr. Fowler was born April 10, 1926 in Canon, Georgia to the late Ceph and Stella Brewer Fowler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Faye Fowler, Valdus Fowler, and Vivian Fowler; brothers, Harold Fowler and Eugene Fowler. He was a member of the Lavonia Church of God , the Habersham County Farm Bureau and the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Fowler was a retired cattle farmer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Evelyn Turner Brown Fowler of the home; step-daughter, Marcia Brock of Mt. Airy; niece, Denise Mitchell of Canon; and nephew, David Fowler, also of Canon.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest with Rev. Darvin Slaton and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will be in the Oakview Cemetery in Canon, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Funeral Home.
