Cona Belle Grizzle

Cona Belle Grizzle, age 93, of Dahlonega, GA died Saturday, November 8, 2014 following an extended illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a member of Yahoola Baptist Church. She retired from the dining hall at North GA College. She was an exceptional, Godly mother and grandmother.

Cona Belle was the daughter of the late Ben and Beulah Head, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gordon Grizzle; sons, James Edward Grizzle and Fred Jimmy Grizzle; brothers, Jack, Frank, and Johnny Head; sisters, Louise Ridley, Edith Segers, Azalea Tritt, and Bencie Mills.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bruce Sullens, Doris and J.L. Sutton, all of Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Merle Grizzle, Clarkesville, GA, Dean and Frances Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA, David Grizzle and Carol, Thomson, GA; daughter-in-law, Reba Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sarah Head; sister, Barbara West, all of Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bertie Mae and JR Fields, Dahlonega, GA; sister-in-law, Louvana Grizzle, Marietta, GA. 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Cona Belle are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, November 10, 2014 at Yahoola Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Donald Grizzle, Rev. Stephen Adams, Rev. Lyman Caldwell, and Rev. Terry Head will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5 PM until 9 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2014 and from 9 AM until 1 PM on Monday, November 10, 2014.
