Lucille Sullens Anderson

Lucille Sullens Anderson, age 88, of Dahlonega, GA died Friday, November 7, 2014.

She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2. She retired from the Lumpkin County School System with over 25 years of service. She started as an educator in what was then a one room schoolhouse.

Lucille was the daughter of the late Loy and Myrtle Sullens, and was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Anderson; brothers, Dee Sullens and Travis Sullens; and sister, Linda Sullens Tritt.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carol Seabolt Anderson, Dahlonega, GA; granddaughter and spouse, Anita and Michael Spangler, Dover, DE; great grandchildren, Anderson "Andy" Spangler and Michaela Spangler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerrel and Sue Sullens, Fred and Melinda Sullens; sister, Eulene Poore; sister and brother-in-law, Robbie and Charles Wehunt, all of Dahlonega, GA; and sister, Barbara West, Murrayville, GA.

Funeral services for Lucille are scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Stephen Gerrells and Rev. Les Fuller will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 and from 12 Noon until 2 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2014.
