Dorothy 'Dot' Rogers

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Rogers, age
84 of Cleveland. Mrs. Rogers passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. Funeral services are
scheduled for 3:00pm, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Center Grove Baptist Church with Rev.
Garry Hefner, Rev. W.A. Jenkins and Rev. Donnie Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in
the church cemetery.
'Dot" as she was affectionately known, was born in White County on December 22, 1929 to
the late Elbert Autry and Ola Belle Alexander Autry. She retired from Johnson & Johnson with
over 30 years distinguished service. Dot was a woman of true faith, she loved God and loved her
family, she will be remembered for her simple faith, her compassion for others and her infectious
smile. Dot was a longtime member of Center Grove Baptist Church and is preceded in death in
addition to her parents, by her husband, J. C. Rogers; daughter, Barbara Rickettson, brothers,
Hubert Autry, Leroy Autry, Andrew Autry and sister Flora Belle Kirby. Survivors include her
son Edwin 'Eddie" Rogers, ( Nancy) of Lilburn, brother, Hoyt Autry, Cleveland and sister
Myrette Hough of Cornelia; grandchildren, Evan Rogers, Shelly McClane and Kristina Rogers;
great grandchildren, Avery Rogers, Caitlin McClane and Jessica McClane.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 8pm. Flowers will be
acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to Center Grove Baptist Church, P.O.Box
703, Cleveland, Georgia 30528
