Doris L. Day, 73, of Dawsonville, GA. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 following an extended illness.
Born on January 9, 1941 in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ola Crumley Ballew.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Adron Day of Dawsonville; daughters, Darlene Fain of Cumming, Jerri Ann Carpenter of Rock Hill, SC, Susan Wasden of Vero Beach, FL; son and daughter in law, Ben and Charlene Day of Dawsonville; son, Tim Day of Cumming; daughter and son in law, Amy and Luke Bagby of Cumming; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers; 2 sisters and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Jackie Martin, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Brody Hughes will officiate. Interment will be in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
