Eddie J. Justus

Eddie J. Justus, age 56, of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.


Mr. Justus was born on March, 20, 1958 in Hall County, Georgia to Walter O. Justus and the late Betty Jo Gibson Justus. He was a supervisor at Scovil Manufacturing with 39 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his mother; brother, Harry Milton Justus; grandfather, H.M. Justus; grandfather, Hoyt "Smiley" Gibson; and grandmother, Ruth Marie Justus.


Survivors include his loving wife of 28 ½ years, Lisa Pace Justus, Toccoa, GA.; father Walter O. Justus, Blue Springs, MO.; mother-in-law, Joyce Pace, Toccoa, GA.; daughter, McKayla Justus, Toccoa, GA.; daughter and son-in-law, Carly and Stephen Freeman, Woodstock, GA.; son, Levi Justus, Toccoa, GA.; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Justus Jr. and Tonya Justus, Sautee, GA.; sisters, Anna Maria Justus, Gainesville, GA., Elizabeth Justus, Westfield, IN.; brothers, Walter Justus II, Toccoa, GA., Joe Lazenby, Clarkesville, GA., Tony Lazenby, Eclectic AL., Jimmy Justus, Blue Springs, MO.; 7 grandchildren; grandmother, Irene Gibson, Mt. Airy, GA.; Along with several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kathy and Grady Scott, Toccoa, GA.


Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA., with Pastor Walter Justus, and Rev. Ted Ansley officiating. Cremation will follow after service.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
