Robert Dean Jans

Mr. Robert Dean Jans, age 69, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at his residence.



Celebration of life service will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Reverend David Bost will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Paul UMC Cemetery in Lumpkin County.



Bob was born May 9, 1945 in Blue Earth, Minnesota, the son of the late Elmer and Ruby (Frye) Jans. He married Donna (Weise) Jans on November 28, 1965. They resided in Clinton, Iowa from 1965-1984 before moving to Gainesville where he continued his profession of Barbering. In earlier years he was an avid horseman, participating in rodeos and trail rides. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karen (Jans) Martin.



Mr. Jans is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Renee (Weise) Jans of Murrayville; son, Daniel Jans of Hiawassee; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kellie Jans of Clermont; grandchildren, Brittany Leggett, Colton and Addison Jans of Clermont.



In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Paul UMC of Lumpkin County 14 Martins Ford Road Dahlonega, GA 30533.
