Melvin E. Martin, age 64, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Irene Martin, and brother, Dale Martin. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Linda Hulsey Martin, Buford, GA; children, Tammy Bennett, Jonesboro, GA, Amy Hembree, Flowery Branch, GA, and Wesley and McKinsey Martin, Buford, GA; five grandchildren, Allie Hembree, Brayden Martin, Brooklyn Martin, Mason Hembree, and Kolten Martin; special niece, Amber Martin Ramsier; mother-in-law, Shelvie Mauldin Hulsey, Buford, GA; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Lisa Hulsey, Flowery Branch, GA, and Harry Hulsey, Buford, GA. Mr. Martin was born January 5, 1950 in Horse Cave, KY. He received his education at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. He was a cabinet maker with Windsor Fixtures in Lawrenceville, GA, an avid deer hunter and Nascar fan. He was of the Baptist faith. The body has been cremated and no service is planned. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
