Mildred Violet Tatum Butler

Mildred Violet Tatum Butler, age 86 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Kathy's Personal Care Home in Cleveland, following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Doug Merck will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 7 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Butler was born April 16, 1928 in Cornelia, Georgia to the late Lat Tatum and Lola Forrester Tatum. She was retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Henrietta Freeman and her brothers, Merrill Tatum, Dewey Tatum, Frank Tatum and Alvin Tatum.

Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband of 46 years, Arnold Butler of Cleveland, daughter & son-in-law, Peggy& Tim Donovan of Flowery Branch, grandsons & their wives, Danny & Mignon Hooper of Braselton and Matt & Becky Donovan of Gainesville, great-grandson, Dalton Hooper of Braselton, brother & sister-in-law, Ray Neal & Carol Tatum of Cleveland, Tennessee and loving friend and caregiver, Teresa Waddell of Cleveland.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to White County Senior Center, 1238 Helen Highway, Cleveland, Georgia 30528.
