Betty Haynie Davis, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davis; parents, Clyde and Lavonia Haynie; daughter, Donna Shadburn; grandson, Adrian Shadburn; sons-in-law, Billy Thompson and Calvin Chewning; and brother, Billy Haynie. She is survived by her children, Shirley Davis Chewning, Buford, GA, and Deborah Davis and Ronald Wheeles, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Rodney and Melissa Thompson, Flowery Branch, GA, Rhonda and Dee Rylee, Maysville, GA, Dennis and Heidi Blankenship, Buford, GA, Robbie and Carrie Blankenship, Buford, GA, Greg Shadburn, Jefferson, GA, and Phillip Shadburn, Buford, GA; sisters, Barbara H. and Douglas Burel, Buford, GA, and Bonnie Sue Haynie, Buford, GA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Haynie, Dacula, GA; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Mrs. Davis was born December 15, 1928 in Winder, GA. She was a 1942 graduate of Sugar Hill School and a graduate of Ila Garmon Beauty College. She was a retired beautician and owner of the Betty Davis Beauty Shop in Sugar Hill. She was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Hansard officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, 5979 New Bethany Road, Buford, GA 30518. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
