Gladys Virginia Brown Williams

Mrs. Gladys Virginia Brown Williams, age 86 of 39 Lovell Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday October 26, 2014 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Gnarl and Ruby Keller Brown, she was born August 16, 1928 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived a greater part of her life. She was a retired LPN with Stephens County Hospital and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Harold Reed and Pete Taylor and by a granddaughter, Denise Allen.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Lloyd Williams; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Taylor and Alesia and Charles Segars both of Toccoa and Karen and Ken Brady of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Amanda and Kevin Busha, Chris Segars, Joshua and Kacie Brady and Matthew Brady; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Mackie Brown of Gainesville, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Weba Williams of Toccoa and Sallie Mae Carpenter of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 29, 2 O'clock PM at New Hope Baptist Church with the Reverend David Sosebee and the Reverend Jewell Gaines officiating. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers, Matthew Brady, Josh Brady, Michael Brown, Kevin Busha, Chris Segars and Jeremy Davenport.

The family will be at the home on Lovell Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Gladys Virginia Brown Williams.
