Danny Cecil Lummus

Danny Cecil Lummus, age 67, of Powder Springs Ga. passed away Sat. Oct. 25, 2014.



Danny fought a courageous battle against cancer for almost 2 years. However he left his worldly home in the early hours of Saturday morning, Oct 25th. He was born in Cumming, Ga. on April 14, 1947. He lived most of his adult life in Powder Springs, Ga. where he had many loving and caring neighbors and friends. He graduated from Forsyth County High School in 1965 and shortly after joined and honorably served in the Navy. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at a very young age and joined Sharon Baptist in Smyrna, Ga. Danny was a loving husband to Belinda Lummus for over 44 years, a wonderful father and grandfather. He was a devoted son, and brother and cared deeply for his many family members, as well as friends and neighbors. He will be lovingly missed by many. Danny was a remarkable person and will not be forgotten.



Danny was met in His Heavenly Home by his son Wes Lummus who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Marie Lummus his father and mother in law James and Betty Talley.



He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Belinda Lummus his son and daughter in law, David and Lisa Lummus and grandson, Seth Lummus. Brothers; Lee and Karen Lummus, Billy Lummus, and Rick and Connie Lummus of Cumming Ga., and sister Sheila and Jack Doss of Opelika Ala.



Brothers in law, Budgie and Kathy Hand, Edgar and Beverley Hand, Jody and Brenda Talley, Lawson and Shirley Talley and Bobby Talley. Sisters in law; Mary Jane and Ken Cooper, Jamie and Steve Millholland and

Janet West, all of Walton County Ga., and several Loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and family.



Funeral Services will be held Tuesday Oct. 28, 2014 at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Lummus officiating. Interment will follow at New Harmony Baptist Church cemetery.



Viewing will be at Byars Funeral Home, Cumming, Ga., on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
