Mrs. Barbara Champlin Wales, age 76, of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA with internment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Chris Pope and Reverend Lonnie Pope will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wales was born on May 31, 1938 in Loyall, Kentucky, but lived in Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia while supporting her husband, Ronnie, during his Ministry of over 50 years as a Baptist Minister. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by parents Ernest and Nell Champlin, and father-in-law, Woodrow Wales.
Mrs. Wales is survived by her husband Ronnie W. Wales, son and daughter-in-law Tim and Sheryl Wales of South Carolina, daughter and son-in-law , Wendy and Reggie Smallwood, son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Dawn Wales all of Gainesville, GA, grandchildren: Jordan Wales and fiancé Angelica Howard, Micah and Kyla Wales, Connor Wales, Chase Wales and fiancé Shaye Roper, Katie and Heath Buffington, Ben Smallwood, great grandchildren: Carson Wales and Braylee Wales, mother-in-law, Susie C. Wales of Kentwood, LA, sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and James Sizemore Jr. of Alexander City, AL, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Chris and Kathy Wales, Louis and Ginger Greene, Patsy Wales all of Louisiana, Several nieces and nephews from Alabama, Louisiana and North Carolina.
