Charles 'Rick' Richard Wood

Charles "Rick" Richard Wood, age 58, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014.

Rick was born in Washington DC and had lived in Dahlonega for the past 30 years. He graduated from Lumpkin County High School and proudly served his country for a period of three years in the United States Army.

Mr. Wood is preceded in death by his father, Norman Wood.

He is survived by his mother, June Wood of Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron Wood, Dahlonega, GA, Randy and Devra Wood, Gainesville, GA, Russ Wood, Dahlonega, GA, Matthew and Risa Wood, Auburn, GA, Christopher and Sherry Wood, York, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Rene and Kevin Connell, Dahlonega, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the St. Luke's Catholic Church in Dahlonega, GA.

Father Neil Dhabliwala will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega from 5 PM until 7 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
