Cesar A. Rodriguez

Obituary Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Cesar A. Rodriguez died on October 21, 2014, he was 81 years old. Funeral services were provided by Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and Chapel Service will be held at Alpharetta First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25th beginning at 10am, with Pastor, Ed Schrader officiating. The family welcomes all of Mr. Rodriguez's friends, workers, co-workers, and family to attend the celebration.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife Mildred Rodriguez. His sister Almalina Rodriguez. His sons, C. Joel Rodriguez, his wife Laurie, Edwin A. Rodriguez, and a daughter Jacqueline R. Callender and her husband Coy. Stepsons, Michael Selfe, his wife Phyllis. Grandchildren, Lindsey C. Brelje, husband Ben, Craig Callender, Christopher Callender, Carson Callender, and Kelli Selfe. Mr. Rodriguez was preceded in death by his parents Tito Rodriguez Martinez and Maria Justina Barretto Delgado.

Mr. Rodriguez was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba on November 28th 1932, and came to America in 1961, and served in the U.S. Army. He was an Independent Business Owner for over 40 years and went to work every day up until the Lord called him home. He was an active member in Gideon's International, and also was a Prison Minister for the Dawson County Jail and held services every Saturday morning for the last 20 years. He also sponsored several local and foreign charities and ministries.

Mr. Rodriguez was a generous man who loved to share his food and home grown vegetables with everyone. He gave his life to Christ and became a soldier in the Army of God, and boldly professed his faith, and strong desire to win others for Christ.

Special thanks to the Georgia State Troopers for staying with Mrs. Rodriguez until church family, Caroline Solarski could arrive, the Forsyth County EMS team, and the Northside Hospital Forsyth.
