Larry Morris Vinson, Sr.

Mr. Larry Morris Vinson, Sr., age 69 of 625 Mountain View Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his residence.

A son of the late Charlie William and Mary Ellen Gosnell Vinson, he was born November 5, 1944 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He served in the Army, was Owner-Operator of Maryland Fried Chicken and Smokin Pig Bar-B-Que and was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Vinson, a sister, Virginia Ann Smith and by four grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Sandra Gerrell Vinson; five daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Phil Pressley, Victoria and Allen Gilstrap and Toni Murray all of Toccoa, Veronica and Eric Nevel of Anderson, South Carolina and Tina Ivester of Peach County, Georgia; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Vinson, Jr. and Teresa, William and Billie Vinson and Matthew and Tiffany Vinson all of Toccoa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Ray Willis of Toccoa and Shelby Jean and James Looney of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Wilma Vinson of Toccoa; twenty grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be Saturday, October 25, 2 O'clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Ralph Goss officiating.
