Lynn Edwin Twiggs

Mr.Lynn Edwin Twiggs, age 65 of Gillsville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 20, 2014, to join his beloved wife and family in heaven.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Justin Twiggs will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Twiggs was born May 31, 1949 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Benjamin "Bud" Edwin Twiggs and Mary Ruth Callahan Twiggs Haynes. He graduated from East Hall High School and served the next two years in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. Lynn retired from ConAgra with over 30 years of service and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita Joyce Nix Twiggs and his father & mother-in-law.

Mr. Twiggs is survived by his daughters, Malena Twiggs of Gillsville and Misty & Robert Howard of Cleveland, grandson, Caleb Twiggs of Cleveland, brother & sister-in-law, Joe Kenneth & Anna Twiggs of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Janet Carruth of Gainesville, brothers-in-law, Michael Nix of Gainesville, Ray Nix of Oakwood, David Nix of Gainesville and Jimmy Underwood of Cleveland. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks for the loving caregiver, Rosanna Carder.
