Creabelle Daniel Griffin

Creabelle Daniel Griffin, age 95 of Lula, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 5 -8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Griffin was born October 4, 1919 in Honea Path, South Carolina to the late James T. Daniel and Tabbie Lou Jenkins. She was retired from JC Penney and was a member of Lula United Methodist Church. Creabelle was also a member of UCT, loved walking, loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Herman Guy Reeves, her husband, Alton Griffin, her daughter & son-in-law, Peggy Joyce & Wayne Allen Childers, and 5 of her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Belva & Terry Campbell of Celina, Tennessee, granddaughter & husband, Kendra & Mitchell Gibbs of Raleigh, North Carolina, grandson, Michael W. Campbell of Ft. Irwin, California, grandson & wife, William & Kristen Campbell of Cookeville, Tennessee, granddaughters, Joy Kimsey of Lula and Lisa Childers of Claxton, Georgia, 7 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Hazel Fields of Honea Path, South Carolina and brother, Curtis Daniel of Williston, South Carolina. She also has a large extended family which includes step-daughters & step-sons-in-law, Laverne & Donald McClure of Lula and Helen & Bill Sexton of Gainesville and multiple step-children and step-great-grandchildren.
