Jeanette Davis McConnell

Jeanette Davis McConnell, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Habersham West Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Laurel Park.

Ms. McConnell was born July 29, 1939 in Blairsville, Georgia to the late William Fin Davis and Addie Mae Towe Davis. She was retired from A T & T and was of the Holiness Faith. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Ida Mae Heddings and her grandson, John Michael McConnell, II.

Ms. McConnell is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, John & Stephanie McConnell of Gainesville, daughter, Jeanne "Gigi" McConnell of Atlanta, daughter & son-in-law, Marianne & Larry Strope of Carmichael, Pennsylvania, son, Ray Headlee, III of Morgantown, West Virginia, brother & sister-in-law, Charles "Bud" & Sandra Davis of Gainesville, brother, Hurvey Davis of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Clara Belle & Junior Nix of Chatsworth, Georgia, special niece, Kelly Ray of Cleveland, Georgia, granddaughter, Koraleigh McConnell of Gainesville, grandson, PV2 Michael Jeffrey McConnell of Ft. Gordon, Georgia, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
