Debra Beard Beverly

Debra Beard Beverly, age 53, of Flowery Branch, passed away on Monday Afternoon, October 13, 2014 after her 2 ½ year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by those who cherished her most when she finally "made it home".

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Lowell Whitmire and Reverend Bryan Woodson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beverly was born October 4, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to Charles Beard and Phyllis Cantrell Beard. She spent so much of her life helping others that she turned it into a career. Debra was a teacher at Chestnut Mountain Elementary for 15 years. Her legacy as an Educator will be remembered through the FCA she was instrumental in starting at CMES and the countless lives she helped shape through this organization. Debra was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. This remarkable woman touched so many lives as she walked her path of life. She was loved, is loved and will always be loved by those who called her Wife, Mom, Daughter, Nana and Friend.

Mrs. Beverly is eternally loved, her husband of 28 years, David Beverly, her mother, Phyllis Beard, her father, Charles Beard and her brother, David Beard. She is not only survived, but celebrated by her five children, Hannah, Amanda, Zach, Josh and Elizabeth. Debra is also celebrated by her five grandchildren and great niece, who brought her so much joy. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
