Geneva Hicks Parker

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 16, 2014 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Geneva Hicks Parker (Moma Gen) age 79 of Gainesville. The Rev. Fabian Parker and Cory Hutson will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Parker passed away Monday October 13, 2014.

Mrs. Parker was born in Gainesville to the late Sandy and Fannie Mae Hicks. She worked as cafeteria manager at Candler Elementary then Myers Elementary. She retired in 1996 after 30 years of service. She was a member of New Liberty Community Church in Braselton. She was a avid Braves and Elvis fan. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Harold Parker, Son, Bob Parker, Daughter, Deede Parker Miller, Sister, Ruby Molnar, and Brothers, Junior and Jack Hicks.

Survivors include Daughter and Son-in-Law, Jackie and Johnny Pirkle, Daughter, Sharon Hutson, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Fabian and Pam Parker, Sister and Brother-in-Law, Jimmie and Derrell Corn, Sister-in-Law, Gaynelle Parker, Grandchildren, Renea and Nick Eldridge, Jason and Misty Pirkle, Jeanine and Chris Whitmire, Cory and Lesli Hutson, Shana and James Bennett, Ann and Joey Hughes, Bo and Brandi Miller, Nicole and Josh Adams, Robbie and Robyn Parker, Trent and Tanya Parker, Mark and Terry Parker, Trevor Parker, Brittney Rion, Matt and Stephanie Parker, Beth and Brent Roberts, 29 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
