Joseph Grady Roberts

Joseph Grady Roberts, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Michael Grizzle and Reverend Kolton Sosebee will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 3 - 5 and 6 - 8 pm and Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 12 - 2 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberts was born April 17, 1939 in Homer, Georgia to the late Melvin Fred Roberts and Lula Bryan Patterson. He was retired from Fieldale Poultry and was a member of Oakwood Church of God. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law, Ronnie Grizzle, sister, Fannie Mae Martinez and brother, Jimmy Roberts.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Linda Roberts of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Janet & Jack Crowder of Gainesville, daughter, Tammy Grizzle of Gainesville, sons & daughters-in-law, Joey & Connie Roberts and Freddy & Sherri Roberts, all of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Christy & Scott Cramer of Dawsonville, grandchildren, Brandi & Ryan Smith, Shenna Adamson, Kyle Grizzle and Brandon Cramer, great-grandchildren, Layla Smith and Easton Smith, sister & brother-in-law, Mary Lou & Owen Conner of Murrayville and sister, Faye Bryant of Gainesville.
