Ethelene Buffington Presley

Funeral Services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Ethelene Buffington Presley, 94 of Gainesville. Rev. Darryl Dale, Rev. Craig Dale and Rev. Edwin Gilmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Springway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Presley passed away Thursday October 9, 2014.



She was a longtime member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and was currently a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and an excellent cook who loved her family dearly and everyone called her "Nanny."



Mrs. Presley was born March 23, 1920 to the late Lonnie and Lelia Buffington. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Presley; daughter, Glynda McCommon; grandson, Chuck Dale; mother-in -law, Ethel Mae Presley Strickland; siblings; Cleo Buffington, Willie and Lillie Bell Buffington, Harvey and Wilma Buffington, Mary and Clyde Wilson, Sarah and Harold Gilmer and Martha and Maxie Gibbs; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Bill and Bernice Presley, J.W. Presley, Garnett Presley, Rubye and J.R. Clark.



Survivors include, children, Maurice and Darryl Dale, Elaine and Don Greene; grandchildren and spouses, Craig and Caroline Dale, Matthew and Natalie Greene; granddaughter in law, Barbie Dale; great-grandchildren, Ashely Dale Ortiz, Cameron Dale, Caleb Dale, Caissen Dale, Presley Dale, Maggie Dale, Chloe Dale, Charlie Dale, Savannah Greene, Landon Greene, Abby Hundley, Oliva Hundley and Hudson Greene; great-greatgrandchildren, Peyton Ortiz, Amanda Ortiz and Preston Ortiz,
