Rebecca Walker Damron

Mrs. Rebecca Walker Damron, age 96 of 48 Oakvale Place, Toccoa Falls, Georgia passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Roy E. and Cora Bainer Walker, she was born March 7, 1918 in Watonga, Oklahoma having lived most of her life at Toccoa Falls College. She was the house parent for Forest Hall at Toccoa Falls College for a long number of years and served in other capacities at the College. She was a member of the First Alliance Church of Toccoa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Troy Damron in 1989 and by a daughter, Carol Wheeler.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Ruth Damron of Toccoa Falls and Helen and Kenneth Sanders of Toccoa; grandchildren, Kathy and Tom Dobbins, Christi and Mitch Huskison and Kendra Sanders; great-grandchildren, Troy Dobbins, Kennan Huskison and Carter Huskison; sister-in-law, Annie Damron of Ft. Myers, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 11, 3 'Clock PM at the First Alliance Church of Toccoa with the Reverend Dick Collier, the Reverend Dr. Scott Borderud, the Reverend Roman Esparza and the Reverend Dr. Fred Smith officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Sidney Lawson, Kelly Vickers, Ronnie Green, Bill Grant, Wayne Gardner and Virgil Adams. Honorary Escort will be former Residents of Forest Hall.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sanders, 176 Green Forest Drive, Toccoa and will receive friends at the First Alliance Church on Saturday from 1:30 PM until the service time.

Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Paradise Mountain Ministries, 71 Paradise Drive, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Rebecca Walker Damron.

Interment will be in the Toccoa Falls College Cemetery, Sunday, October 12, 2 O'clock PM with the Reverend Dr. Ferrell Towns officiating. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Rebecca Walker Damron.
