Adela (Della) Mary Phee

Obituary Date: Wednesday, September 3, 2014

Adela (Della) Mary Phee, age 90, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Cumming, Georgia. She was born on September 1, 1924 in Amherst, Massachusetts to Cazmer (Charlie) and Bronislawa (Blanche) (Ciesluk) Reznik and was the 6th of 8 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles, Steven, Edward and Joseph Ryznic and her sisters Estella (Ryznic) Larned and Helen (Ryznic) Lashway.

She retired from the Florida School System in 1987 after 20 years of service. Prior to death she was a resident of Shalimar, Florida.

She was married to Norman R. Phee in 1953 who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son William of Cumming, GA., her Sister Victoria Pratt (Ryznic) of Amherst, MA., 2 Granddaughters and one Great Grandson.

She was always the life of the party and had an infectious laugh that made everyone around her smile. She was quick witted, loved polka music, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. She loved warm weather but was always cold in her apartment unless it was at least 80 degrees inside, as her Florida relatives can confirm anytime they would visit her. Cold on the outside but very warm hearted.

She loved working on her word puzzle books and complaining about the food at the assisted living center. She was rebellious and the first one to bring anything she thought wasn't right to whoever was in charge. Her Polish roots I'm sure had something to do with her stubbornness when it came to doing what was right.
