Shirley Rose Forrester

Mrs. Shirley Rose Forrester, age 77 of Commerce died Monday, October 06, 2014 at Northridge Medical Center. Mrs. Forrester was born in Covington to the late, Doyle Claymus and Julia Marlow Ayers. Mrs. Forrester was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and retired from BJC Medical Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Forrester was also preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Forrester.

Mrs. Forrester is survived by her daughter, Anita Bonds of Homer; son, Stacey Forrester of Athens; sister, Mary Williams Smithers of Jefferson; two grandsons, Mark and Chris Bonds.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph O. Smith, Rev. Loy Reed, and Rev. Scott Smith officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6-9 PM.
