Dorothy Lee Smith

Dorothy Lee Smith, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 04, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born in Dahlonega Georgia the daughter of the late Alex and Cora Bell Kanady Stringer. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.G. Smith, sisters, Maudell Thomas, Willie Lou Thomas, Maybell Head and brother, Alex Stringer Jr. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include son and daughter in law, Lynn and Carol Smith, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Donnita and Dan Lasarge, Loganville, Patty and Curtis Smith, Stockbridge; grandchildren, Christine West, Amanda Granberry, Jeffrey West, Brian Smith, Heather Bardi, Shelley Boggess; great grandchildren, Aidan Granberry, Lucy Granberry, Colton Smith; sisters, Gracie Nix, Geneva Taylor, both of Cleveland; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Vernon and the Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will be at Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
