Reggie Franklin Gable

Mr. Reggie Franklin Gable, age 74 , of Dahlonega passed away Friday, October 03, 2014 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. Reggie was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a retired farmer and bee keeper. He was a member of the Northeast Georgia Bee Keepers and the Woodmen of the World.

Mr. Gable was preceeded in death by his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Frank Gable (Beatrice), brother Ronnie Eugene Gable and sister, Sarah Frances Gibson. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Farrell Yvonne Gable, son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Margie Gable, of Dawsonville, daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Bobby Ray, of Dahlonega, sister and brother in law Johnnie Ruth and Jimmy Adams of Murrayville; grandchildren, Seth and Beccah McCrary, Sara McCrary, Reanna and Dylan Brown, Luke Ray, and Adam Ray, mother-in-law, Lottie Ledford and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3pm, October 5, 2014 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Reverends Roger Dunagan, Stephen Adams, Les Fuller, Terry Head and Lyman Caldwell officiating. The body will be placed in state at 2:30 p.m., Interment will follow in the Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Dahlonega Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit of the Ronnie Green Heart Center as well as Dr. Taylor Henson and Dawn Sosebee for their wonderful care during Reggie's illness.
