William H. 'Tiny' Emmett

William H. "Tiny" Emmett , age 71 of Oakwood, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 6, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 6 - 9 and Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Emmett was born January 25, 1943 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Harrison Voyle Emmett and Lucile Martin Emmett. He was retired from Department of Transportation and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.

Mr. Emmett is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Howser Emmett of Oakwood, daughter, Lisa Emmett Howser of Clarkesville, daughter & son-in-law, Leslie & Danny Thomas of Gainesville, grandsons, Cameron Jake O'Kelley of Cleveland and Kyle Benjamin O'Kelley of Clarkesville, sister, Roxie Jane Camp of Buford, sisters-in-law, Margie Phagan of Commerce and Angie Garner of Gainesville, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Wayne & Paula Howser of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
