Leonard L. 'Lee' Smith

Mr. Leonard L. "Lee" Smith, 88 of Gainesville died Thursday October 2, 2014 at his daughter's residence.



A lifelong resident of Hall County, Lee was the son of the late Dick and Nell Scroggs Smith. He was employed at Mather Furniture Company for over 30 years and also worked at Eades Treasures for Your Home. Lee had also lived in Eustis, Florida for 14 years, served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Riverbend Baptist Church.



Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law; Martha and Jerry Shell, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Darlene Smith, Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Kay Smith, Atlanta; granddaughters, Brandy Migliore, Buford; Mandy Conroy, Atlanta; grandsons, Kevin Stowers, Gainesville; Rich Smith, Cumming; Six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. step grandchildren, Tim and Ronni O'Brian, Gainesville; Erin and David Arrendale, Clarkesville; Three step great grandchildren.



Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edith Irvin Smith, son, Doug Smith, brother, C.D. Smith, sister, Mary Owen, and second wife, Ginny Lipscomb Smith.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 6, 2014 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Sexton will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday October 5, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.



In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, Ga. 30501 in memory of Mr. Smith.
