Betty Ann (Young) Appling

Mrs. Betty Ann (Young) Appling, age 82, of Gainesville, passed away on Tuesday Evening, September 30, 2014 at New Horizons Limestone following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Free Chapel Worship Center, Main Campus. Mrs. Appling will lie in state at the church from 1:30 till 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jentezen Franklin, Reverend Craig Jones and Reverend Katie Franklin will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 6 - 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Appling was born June 5, 1932 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Reverend Johnny William Young and Gertrude Beck Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Reverend Tommy R. Appling.
Mrs. Appling is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Stanley & Dianne Appling and Johnny & Mary Beth Appling, both of Buford, three grand-sons and their wives, Ashley & Aimee Appling of Dacula, Wesley & Shannon Appling of Gainesville and Tommy & Whitney Appling of Danielsville, one granddaughter, Melena Appling of Buford, 7 great-granddaughters, sister & brother-in-law, Jean & William Stowe of Gillsville, brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Rebecca Young of Cleveland, sister, Patsy McGiboney of Stone Mountain and sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Gene Jones of Cleveland.
