Estelle Vaughan Wood

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Estelle Vaughan Wood, 78, of Maysville Georgia, who passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014.

Mrs. Wood was born in Centralhatchee, Georgia, in Heard County, a daughter of the late Mosley Perry Vaughan and the late Berta Adams Vaughan. Mrs. Wood was a master cosmologist and hairstylist and served her community in which she lived. Mrs. Wood attended New Beginnings Church in Alto, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by a son, Butch Wood.

Funeral Services will be held Monday September 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Tracy Davidson and Reverend Lamar Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce Georgia with those honored to serve as pallbearers being, Chad Dearing, Corey Dearing, Brandon Wood, James Coleman, Preston Wood, and Jack Steele, and honorary pallbearers being, Tucker Dearing, Skylan Dearing, Tyler Wood, Thaddeous Freeman, Rylee Rouse, Chase Mize and Jaden Hoopaugh. The Family will receive friends on Sunday September 28, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Survivors include, her husband, Dwight Wood of Maysville, Georgia, Daughter and Husband, Tammy and Terry Dearing of Maysville, Georgia, grandchildren, Chad Dearing, Corey Dearing, Brandon Wood, Kristy Wood, and Hannah Wood, 11 Great Grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
