Wilma Inez Kelley

Wilma Inez Kelley, age 93 of Cornelia, Georgia, formerly of Martin, Georgia, passed away on Thursday September 25, 2014 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kelley was born on August 18, 1921 in Pearson, Georgia to the late Joe Oscar and Inez James Murray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd P. Kelley; brother, Joe Wilbur Murray; sisters, Ruth Almond, Vernelle Wall, and Elizabeth Murray. Due to the death of her mother at an early age, she was raised by her devoted and loving grandparents, the late William and Syrena Murray. Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Martin, Georgia, where she served for many years in the Sunday School nursery. She was a member of the Line's Womens Club of Martin, Georgia. In addition to being a devoted Christian homemaker, she worked for many years at Stone Mfg. and retired from Singer Mfg. Co.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Roy and Judy Kelley of Cornelia, Georgia; Grandson and wife, Jonathan and Kelly Kelley, great grandchildren, India Claire and Kingston Payne Kelley; brother in law and sister in law O'Neal and Sue Kelley of Canon, Georgia; one niece and a number of nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev Bill Stacey and Dr. Tom Mewborn officiating. Interment will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
