Dot Lunsford

Dot Lunsford, age 80, of Suches, GA passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

Dot was a lifelong resident of Suches, GA and a homemaker. She had a passion for making jelly and canning vegetables. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church in Fannin County, GA.

She was the daughter of the late June and Georgia Edmondson Bridges, and is also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Grizzle; infant son; granddaughter, Lauren Rainwater; brothers, Paul Bridges, Hugh Bridges; sisters, Edna Hyatt, Bonnie Huff, Bert Earnst and Ben Ricketts.

Mrs. Lunsford is survived by her husband of 64 years, Conley Lunsford of Suches, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Vickie Lunsford, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Gail Fisher, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Kristin Rainwater, Gainesville, GA, Eric Craft, Dahlonega, GA and a number of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Dot are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Paul Tritt, Rev. Rudy Tribble, Family Friends Bill Coker and Howard Whelchel will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 "The Hill Church" in Suches, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5 PM until 7 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2014 and 9 AM until time of service Friday, September 19, 2014.
