Estelle Wiley Allen

Margie Estelle "Essie" Wiley Allen, age 77 of Lula, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Autumn Breeze in Gainesville.
Born in Hall County on July 19, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Arthur William Wiley and Margie Oliver Wiley. Mrs. Allen was previously employed with Potter and Brumfield and retired from Wauka Mountain Elementary. She attended Clemmons Chapel United Methodist Church and in her spare time enjoyed gardening, gospel music, and spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Horace Lee Allen; brothers, A. W. "Dub" Wiley and Curt Wiley; sister, Margaret Turner.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Lisa Allen of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin & Linda Wiley of Lula; twin sister, Marcelle Woody of Lula; sister, Geraldine Armour of Lula; grandchildren, Trey (Kimberly) Allen, Kelsey (Paul) Folger, Logan and Dane Allen; great granddaughter, Makenzie Allen; special cousin and caregiver, Jean Wiley of Lula; also a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Clemmons Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Chase Rylee and Rev. Phil Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday.
