Mae Willene Adams

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Mae Willene Adams , age 87 of Cleveland. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Saturday at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Pilcher officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery . Mrs. Adams will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service

Willene was born Hall County on December 27, 1926 to the late J.P.. Smith and Lola Cagle Smith . She was graduated Cleveland HIgh School and attended Truett McConnell College . Willene was a longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church , in addition, she was the founder of Adams Flower Shop in Gainesville. In addition to her parents , Willene is preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Adams as well as her sisters, Hazel Anderson, Pauline Adams and Janell Bien and brother Luther 'Bud" Smith.

Survivors include her brothers, Carlton Smith, Stockbridge, GA,,W.R. Smith and Edgar Smith both of Cleveland; sisters, Ellen Duncan , Cleveland and Eloise Kanady both of Cleveland and Dorothy Spencer of Mineral Bluff, GA . The family would also like to acknowledge to kindness and compassion of special friends Wayne Turk and family as well as Virginia Anderson as well as the staff at Gateway Healthcare and Rehab Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8pm.
