Timothy Hugh Reed

Timothy Hugh Reed, 57, of Oakwood, GA passed away on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.



Born on December 14, 1956, he was a lifelong resident of Hall County. He was the son of the Hugh Reed and the late Jeanette Reed. Mr. Reed was retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Oakwood



In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Reed.



Mr. Reed is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Shewbert Reed of Oakwood; son and daughter in law, Shannon and Laura Reed; grandson, Sawyer West Reed; father, Hugh Reed; brother and sister in law, Cam and Sandra Reed; sister in law, Angie Reed; nephews, Brett Reed, Tyler Reed, Cody Reed; nieces, Brooke Reed, Cali Reed and other relatives and friends.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Oakwood. Rev. Randall Reed and Rev. Sandra Skinner will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.
