Fannie Lucile Smith

Fannie Lucile Smith, 93, of Clayton, GA passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Mountain View Nursing Center.



She was born in Rabun County and was the daughter of Julius Edmonds and Nettie Dodgins Edmonds.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Smith, one brother, Bill Edmonds, and two sisters, Bernice Smith and Emma Edmonds. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.



Mrs. Smith was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, country music, and family photos.



The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Friday, September 12, 2014 from 11:00 AM until noon. Funeral services will follow visitation at 12:00 noon in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
