Rachel DelGracia Walker

Obituary Date: Saturday, September 6, 2014
Rachel DelGracia Walker, 27 of Gainesville lost her brave fight against cancer on September 6 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her parents: Jane and Ed Davenport of Gainesville, GA and Ann and Eli Walker of Warner Robins, GA as well as her loving brothers Allen Walker of Murfreesboro, TN and Cole Davenport of Flowery Branch, GA.

She graduated from North GA College in 2009 with a BS in psychology and in 2012 with a MS degree in Counseling. She was a licensed associate professional counselor along with being a member of the American Counseling Association and Licensed Professional Counselor's Association of GA. She worked as an intake specialist at Laurelwood and was housed in the emergency room.

Many thanks to her supportive co-workers from Laurelwood and the emergency room at Northeast GA Medical Center. Thanks also to the staff at Northeast GA Medical center and the Longstreet Clinic for taking such good care of Rachel as well as Tailwaggers for taking care of her beloved Ella dog.

A Celebration of Rachel's life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville on Tuesday, September 9 at 1:00 with a reception immediately following in the fellowship hall. We are honoring Rachel's life by how she lived it with by wearing bright colors to the service.
