Ms. Despy C. Foley, age 61 of Suwanee, passed away oDespy C. Foley, 61, of Suwanee passed away on September 5, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Johnny Koch will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Ms. Foley was born on May 11, 1953 in Gainesville to Joyce Stevens and the late Robert Shuler. She graduated from East Hall High School and later attended Lanier Technical College. She owned and operated Joyce Merck Florist and was a member of New Holland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandparents, Bill and Estelle Daniel.
Ms. Foley is survived by her daughter, Kelley Henry and husband C.J. Henry of Suwanee, GA; son, Daniel Foley and wife Lucy Foley of Duluth , GA; son Joshua Foley and wife Bethany Foley of Athens, GA; mother, Joyce Stevens and step-father Fred Stevens of Hoschton, GA; grandchildren, Ryan, Michael, and Kaitlyn Foley and Jacob and Elizabeth Foley and Kaleb Henry; brother and sister in law, Jack Shuler and wife Ann of Gainesville, GA; brothers, Jim Shuler of Blairsville, GA, Jerry Shuler of Gainesville, Jody Shuler of Gainesville; nieces, nephews and spouses, Haley and James Hobson, Ellen and Mitch Herron, Patrick Shuler, Allison and Bart Kimbrell, Audrey Shuler, Cody Shuler.
