Lois Ragan Martin

Lois Martin, age 85 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Graveside Services are scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 am in Memorial Park Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, Cleveland, Georgia. Pastor Andy Chambers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, prior to the burial, at the funeral home.


Mrs. Martin was born August 12, 1929 in Jefferson, Georgia to the late John Edward Ragan, Sr. and Lena Davidson Ragan. She was retired from WDUN Radio Station as a secretary and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.


Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Harry Martin of Gainesville, her daughter & son-in-law, Leanne & Larry Lane of Salem, South Carolina, her son & daughter-in-law, Ragan & Patricia Martin of Gainesville, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her brother & sister-in-law, John Edward & Florence Ragan of Charlotte, North Carolina.
