James (Jim) Thomas Voerg, Sr.,

James "Jim" Thomas Voerg, Sr., age 60, passed away in Cumming, GA on August 29, 2014. Born in Strongsville, OH, a suburb of Cleveland, he is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Howard and Betty Lorraine (Wintering) Voerg.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Voerg of Cumming, GA; sister, Marianne Kerr of Cumming, GA; brother, John Charles Voerg of Cumming, GA; brother, Richard Voerg (Karen) of Cumming, GA; son, James Thomas Voerg, Jr (Alaina) of Smyrna, GA; son, Jeffrey Thomas Voerg (Jessica) of Cumming, GA; and granddaughters, Kaitlyn Marie and Alexandria (Allie) Anne Voerg. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Theresa Voerg.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cumming, GA with Pastor Erik Allen officiating. A reception will follow.
