"Bob" Jordan

Obituary Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2014

After a long illness "Bob" Jordan passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home in Lenbrook. He was born on October 12, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Wm. Earl Jordan and Matilda Brettholle Jordan.



During WW II he served honorably from 5- 7- 43 to 11-18-1945, first as a Cadet and then as 2nd Lt in the Army Air Corps. He flew a B -25 with the 12th Air Force, 445 Bomb BardmentSquardron , 321 Bomb Bardment Group.. As a pilot he flew 28 missions in the Mediterannean theatre of operations. 700 flying hours. He received many citations for exceptional service to his Country. Since 1950 he has made his home in Atlanta, transferring here from Chicago with RCA Service Corp. His career in Georgia was devoted to sales and customer service in major appliances and electronics. Initially he was employed by RCA then Rich's and Sampo TV. He partnered with R. C. Hasler in major appliances and ended up self-employed as Jordan Marketing. His devotion to a loyal following of dealers, employees and manufacturers was legendary.



Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela J. Hanna and his sister and brother-in law, Louise J. Bizer and Albert J. Bizer. Survivors include his wife, Lois, of 68 years; 3 children, Karen J. Mullen (Wm. H.), R.E. Jordan Jr. and William H. Jordan; 7 grandchildren, Brian H.Mc Mullen (Tracy), Marc R. Mc Mullen (Emily), RobertP. Hanna, Katherine J. Hanna (Brian Herndon), R. E. Jordan III "Trey", Taylor M. Jordan, and Sean R. Jordan; 6 Great Grand-children, Jenifer M. Wible (Robbie), Aaron Mc Mullen, Stephanie McMullen, Laura Mc Mullen, Eli Mc Mullen and Aimee Mc Mullen..



In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to The LenbrookFoundation Benovelence Fund at 3747 Peachtree Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA. 30319. A Memorial Service is planned at Lenbrook, 3747 Peachtree Rd. NE., Atlanta, GA 30319 for Saturday, Sept 6, 2014

at 11 AM, with Rev.David E. Hardy, DD of Living Grace Lutheran Church officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service. A private family graveside service with full military honors is planned for a later date.
