Mary Lee Jessie Nix

Funeral services for Mary Lee Jessie Nix, age 84, of Atlanta will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at11:00 AM from Peachtree Presbyterian Church - Kellett Chapel with Dr. Stephen Huntley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery, Clarkesville, Georgia.

Ms. Nix died Sunday, August 24, 2014 following a brief illness.


Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 29, 1930, Ms. Nixwas the daughter of the late Henry Augustus and Lelia Shirley Nix. She was employed with Atlanta Regional Commission for 25 years and with Education Learning System as an administrative assistant. Ms. Nix was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.



In addition to her parents, Ms. Nix is preceded in death by cousin Johnny V. Nix of

Jesup and brother-in-law Earl Dean "Pete" Eason, Sr. of Jesup.



Survivors include Edna Nix Arnold of Jesup, Virlyn, Lamanda, Brandi, and Brittany Nix of Jesup; Sharon Nix , Michael, Wesley and Cody Lassiter of Kathleen; Mary Nix , Steve and Grace Mason of Mauldin, South Carolina; Sara Juanita Nix Eason of Jesup; Earl Dean, Jr., Ashley, Ryan, and Wesley Eason of Jesup; Victor,Sheree, Madison and Callie Eason of Jesup; Linda Nix Guzik and Roman S. Guzik of The Villages, Florida.
