Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Michael Duane Daniels, age 54 of Dahlonega. Mr. Daniels passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 . Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00pm, Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ricky Stepp officiating.

Michael was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida on August 25, 1960 to Richard and Sharon Ann Daniels . He served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps . MIchael moved to Georgia from Sawginaw, MIchigan and was employed with XPO Logistics in Gainesville . He loved sharing his free time with his family or simply reading a good book , his favorites of which were anything concerning history. He had a special place in heart for this three dogs, Trixie , Timothy and Topaz . He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Daniels

Survivors include his wife, Pennie Daniels of Dahlonega; sons , Justin Daniels, (Casey) Cleveland, Shane Flynn(Joni) Dahlonega,; daughters, Jodi Stewart (David) Port Ritchie, FL, Heidi Leschner (Jim) Port Ritchie, FL., Megan Daniels,Dahlonega , Ananda Davis (Kris) Dahlonega, Kristy Keller (David) Dawsonville; brother,Thomas Daniels, Orlando,FL; parents, Richard and Sharon Daniels of Merritt Island, FL.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 pm. It is requested that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 3343 Peachtree Rd., NE #M20, Atlanta, Georgia 30326
